Gu Brother começou a fazer um som soul, roots, reggae e rap,
é conhecido por suas letras interessantes e por seus shows
sempre animados. Seu ritmo não é exatamente definido,nem mesmo
pelo músico. Embora seja de início black music e
soul, o músico também incorporou elementos de samba,
funk, hip-hop, rap, sampler e mpb.
